Everyone is welcome to join us at our next general meeting on Saturday 4 July from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Parcels Office, Lowestoft Railway Station.
The main item on the agenda will be a demonstration of the new Cycling In Lowestoft website. Although there is still no Wi-Fi in the Parcels Office, we hope to demonstrate the site and gather your feedback before it officially launches.
The website has been created to give Cycling In Lowestoft a permanent home for news, events, campaigns, downloadable routes and community information. While Facebook remains important, the website will ensure information is available to everyone, including those who do not use social media.
We will also provide updates on several ongoing campaigns, including the continued closure of the Bascule Bridge footway. There remains little visible progress towards repairs, and the closure continues to create safety concerns for cyclists and pedestrians.
Looking ahead, planning has already begun for this year's Glow Ride in October. Cycling UK has invited Cycling In Lowestoft to take part in a webinar sharing our experiences from last year's event, and we're looking forward to making this year's ride even bigger.
If you can, please share the meeting poster with friends, family and fellow cyclists.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
